Celebrated Ugandan musician Eddy Kenzo and his wife, politician Phionah Nyamutooro, have welcomed their second child together, a baby girl, adding another chapter to their growing family.
The news was confirmed on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, by Galaxy FM Uganda, which reported that the couple is in a celebratory mood following the arrival of their daughter.
The newborn joins their first child together, a son born before their formal union.
Nyamutooro, born in 1993, currently serves as Minister of State for Minerals in Uganda’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development.
Her rising profile as both a government official and public figure has established her as one of Uganda’s most prominent young politicians.
The couple’s relationship became public in 2024 and was formalized later that year following a traditional introduction ceremony in Kampala’s Buziga area.
During the ceremony, Kenzo officially proposed, marking a key milestone in their relationship.
Eddy Kenzo, one of East Africa’s most successful artists, rose to international fame with his 2014 hit “Sitya Loss,” which introduced him to global audiences.
He has since released several popular songs and won the 2015 BET Award for Best International Act: Africa.
The couple’s latest addition has attracted widespread congratulations from fans and well-wishers across the region, as they continue to balance public life, music, and politics while expanding their family.
