Nigerian music star Shallipopi is scheduled to perform in Kigali for the first time at a major concert dubbed “Africast Fest: A Shallipopi Xperience,” set for 29 May 2026.
The event, which will be staged in Kigali, is organised by Groove Kigali in partnership with Intore Entertainment.
It marks the artist’s debut appearance in Rwanda, where his popularity has been growing steadily through hits such as “Laho.”
The concert is backed by key sponsors including SKOL Malt under SKOL Brewery Ltd and Bank of Kigali, reflecting increasing corporate investment in Rwanda’s live entertainment industry.
As part of the build-up, organisers have planned a series of promotional activities under the “Shallipopin’ Ahanad” campaign across Kigali throughout May, aimed at engaging fans ahead of the show.
For Bank of Kigali, the event is linked to its BK@60 celebrations marking 60 years of operations, with a focus on promoting digital financial services and youth engagement in innovation-driven growth.
The bank will facilitate cashless transactions during the concert through BK Pay and card payment systems.
Further details on the venue and ticket sales are expected to be announced in the coming days as preparations continue.
