Rwandan gospel artist Bosco Nshuti turned his latest concert into a showcase of both past achievements and future projects, debuting new songs and revealing plans for a sixth album while officially launching his latest record.
Performing before a packed audience at Kigali Serena Hotel on Sunday, Nshuti blended fan favourites with unreleased material, giving listeners an early taste of songs that are still being prepared for his next album.
The concert also doubled as the launch of his fifth album, Aguhe Umugisha, an eight-track project featuring songs including Ni Yesu, Ahira Amukunda, Twaramuhawe, Mwuka Wera, Ndi Umugisha, Umusaraba and the title track.
In an unusual move, Nshuti used the live event to film music videos for several songs expected to appear on his sixth album, including collaborations with gospel artists Rene and Tracy.
Gospel group New Melody opened the concert before Nshuti took the stage with some of his best-known songs, including Umutima and Ibyo Ntunze. He later introduced unreleased tracks such as Sintahe Uko Naje and Imba.
Organisers said supporters purchased songs from the new album during the event, raising more than 12.5 million Rwandan francs in support of the singer’s music ministry.
Addressing the audience, Nshuti thanked fans, sponsors and organisers for contributing to the success of the concert.
Nshuti, who began releasing music in 2015, serves in the Pentecostal church ADEPR, where he sings with the Siloam Choir at the Kumukenke parish.
The event also featured a sermon by ADEPR Senior Pastor Isaie Ndayizeye.
