Rwandan singer Ruti Joël is working on new songs and music videos as he prepares to release his upcoming album, Tinya, in 2027.
The singer shared the plans ahead of his scheduled performance in Belgium on December 5, 2026, where he says fans can expect new elements in his stage performance.
Ruti will perform at “Rumata Show: Ijoro rya Gakondo Part II” at Birmingham Palace, in an event expected to celebrate Rwandan culture and bring him closer to fans living abroad.
Speaking to the media, he said the concert would also give him an opportunity to introduce fans to his upcoming album.
“These are concerts I organise outside the country to meet my fans. I will also give them a preview of my album, titled Tinya, which will be released next year,” he said.
Ruti said he is currently busy with several projects, particularly filming videos for new songs before travelling to Belgium.
Although he did not reveal details of all the new material, he hinted that his upcoming performance would include surprises for his fans.
“I am working on some music videos for new songs before I leave. But the music is still a closed box. My fans should expect an enjoyable performance and different things on stage,” he said.
The singer did not specify which songs would be featured during the concert or whether any of the new music would be officially released before the event.
Ruti said performances outside Rwanda allow him to meet fans who may not have regular opportunities to attend his shows at home.
The December concert will centre on Rwandan cultural expression, while also giving the singer a platform to share his current work with audiences in Belgium.
The planned release of Tinya in 2027 will mark another step in Ruti’s musical journey, as he continues developing new songs and visual content for his audience.
