
The Rwanda men’s national basketball team endured a rocky to its 2027 World Cup qualifying campaign, failing to register a single win in the window held at the Salle Multidisciplinaire de Radès.
On November 27, 2025, Rwanda opened Group C action against Guinea national basketball team and suffered an 82–70 defeat.
The match began evenly first quarter ended tied at 18–18 but Rwanda collapsed in the second quarter, conceding a 26–12 run that laid the foundation for their loss.
Two days later, on November 29, 2025, Rwanda faced hosts Tunisia national basketball team and fell 79–66.
Tunisia asserted control across the contest, building a halftime lead (40–31) and maintaining their advantage through the second half.
Despite another strong performance from David McCormack who registered what was described as “the only doubledouble of the day” with 17 points and 17 rebounds in 29 minutes Rwanda couldn’t match Tunisia’s shooting efficiency.
On November 30, 2025, Rwanda ended their campaign were beaten by hosts Nigeria national basketball team, losing 75 – 69 at Radès.
