On 27 November, the Kicukiro Primary Court heard the case of Kalisa John (K John) and Ishimwe Patrick (Pazzo Man), accused of distributing pornographic videos of Rwandan artist Yampano.
The hearing began on Thursday but was adjourned to 4 December 2025 after the defendants appeared without lawyers.
Pazzo Man requested legal representation, while K John was prepared to represent himself but shared the same case as Pazzo Man.
The Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) has also arrested three others Ishimwe François Xavier, Cyprien Uzabakiriho (Djihad), and Kwizera Nestor (Pappy Nesta) for sharing the videos.
Under Law No. 60/2018, distributing explicit content, particularly involving minors, carries 3–5 years’ imprisonment and fines of 1–3 million Rwandan francs, while other adult-related offences carry lighter penalties.
