The arrangement uses Kenya\u2019s port, pipeline and storage infrastructure to supply Rwanda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rwamucyo said the development demonstrated the importance of the Northern Corridor to Rwanda\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kenya also wants to increase trade and investment with Rwanda, while Rwandan investment in Kenya includes shares in Kenya Pipeline Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kenya\u2019s Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Korir Sing\u2019oei, said stronger economic links between the two countries could also contribute to a more integrated and influential East African region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The countries are also discussing cooperation in infrastructure, energy and other sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kenya\u2019s Ambassador to Rwanda, Janet Mwawasi Oben, described the relationship as being based on trust, shared regional interests and a common economic vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"873\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/thedawnrwanda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/jpccday1_9-9dfe1-873x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4272\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thedawnrwanda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/jpccday1_9-9dfe1-873x1024.jpg 873w, https:\/\/thedawnrwanda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/jpccday1_9-9dfe1-256x300.jpg 256w, https:\/\/thedawnrwanda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/jpccday1_9-9dfe1-767x900.jpg 767w, https:\/\/thedawnrwanda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/jpccday1_9-9dfe1.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 873px) 100vw, 873px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The latest JPCC follows the previous meeting held in Kigali in April 2023, which ended with the signing of 10 cooperation agreements.
