Ben Affleck says he is in no hurry to return to dating after his divorce from Jennifer Lopez, saying his children and career currently leave little room for a new romance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 54-year-old actor said relationships are \u201cnot a big priority in my life\u201d as he focuses on his work and spending time with his three children, Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 14, whom he shares with his former wife, actress Jennifer Garner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI work a lot, and I see my kids, and there\u2019s not a lot of room. I\u2019m not running around,\u201d Affleck told Entertainment Tonight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His comments came after speculation about his personal life, including a claim by The View<\/em> co-host Ana Navarro that she had tried to introduce him to singer Shakira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Affleck dismissed the suggestion, saying he had never heard about the alleged matchmaking attempt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI never heard that in my whole life,\u201d he said, adding that he often learns about rumours surrounding his personal life from reporters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI often hear rumours, and I think it\u2019s because, how many single [men]… some people gossip. Stuff gets made up,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t really ever get set up, really.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut no, that\u2019s not true,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Affleck said he is in a good place following the end of his marriage to Lopez. The couple, who married in 2022, finalised their divorce in January 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m good and I\u2019m happy. I know what my priorities are,\u201d he said. \u201cYou can\u2019t have two things that are the most important in your life. For me that\u2019s the kids.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said his work remains another major focus, while leaving open the possibility of a relationship in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWho knows what adventures life will bring? I\u2019m open to it, but I\u2019m not trying to chase anything,\u201d Affleck said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lopez, 57, has also spoken positively about life after the divorce, describing herself as being in a \u201chappy era\u201d during an interview with ABC\u2019s Nightline<\/em> broadcast in March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The singer and actress said she was experiencing a new sense of independence after years of being in relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think, for the first time in my life, I feel like I\u2019m free; I\u2019m on my own. And it feels really good,\u201d Lopez said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She added that she had reached a point where she trusted and appreciated herself more, rather than constantly trying to prove herself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
