The first 10 days are expected to be particularly dry, with rainfall ranging from below 5mm to 30mm across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Northern and Western provinces are expected to receive some of the higher amounts. Parts of Musanze, Rubavu, Burera and Nyabihu could record between 80mm and 120mm, while other areas in the two provinces are forecast to receive 50mm to 80mm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Temperatures are also expected to be slightly above the long-term September average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daytime temperatures will range between 22\u00b0C and 33\u00b0C, with the highest temperatures expected in Bugesera, parts of Kigali, Nyagatare, Gatsibo, Kayonza and Ngoma, as well as parts of Rwamagana, Kirehe, the Amayaga region and Bugarama plain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lowest daytime temperatures, between 22\u00b0C and 24\u00b0C, are expected in western Musanze and northwestern Nyabihu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At night, temperatures could fall to 10\u00b0C-12\u00b0C in parts of Musanze, Nyaruguru, Nyabihu, Nyamagabe and Rusizi. The warmest nights, at 18\u00b0C-20\u00b0C, are expected in parts of Kigali, Nyagatare, Gatsibo, Kayonza, Kirehe and the Bugarama plain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meteo Rwanda is also warning of moderate to strong winds during the month, with speeds of 4 to 12 metres per second expected across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Winds of 8 to 12 metres per second are forecast in parts of Rubavu, Rutsiro, Karongi and Nyamasheke. Similar speeds are expected during the first 10 days in eastern Rubavu, western Karongi, northern Nyamasheke and parts of Rutsiro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The agency has urged residents in Nyamasheke, Karongi, Rutsiro, Rusizi and Rubavu to take precautions against possible effects of strong winds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rwanda is expected to have largely dry weather in September, although some parts of the country could receive heavier rainfall, Meteo Rwanda says.
