Kiyovu Sports lifted the FERWAFA Super Cup on Sunday after a late goal from Hakim Hamis secured a 1-0 victory over Police FC at Kigali Pele Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decisive moment came in the 83rd minute when Ntwali Asman sent a cross into the box and Hamis reacted quickly to put the ball into the net.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police FC had chances after the break but failed to find a way past Kiyovu goalkeeper James Desire, who made an important save shortly after the restart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final had started cautiously, with neither side creating many clear opportunities in the opening half. Kiyovu grew into the match after the break and gradually put Police under greater pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both coaches made several changes as they looked for a breakthrough, but the deadlock remained until Hamis struck seven minutes from full time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victory gave Kiyovu its first FERWAFA Super Cup title and its first trophy since winning the Made in Rwanda Cup in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kiyovu reached the final after beating Mukura VS 1-0 in the semi-final, while Police FC eliminated Rayon Sports on penalties, winning 4-2 after their semi-final ended level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2026 edition was the first time the Super Cup was contested by four teams, with the competition bringing together clubs that performed strongly during the 2025\/26 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FERWAFA will award Kiyovu Rwf40 million for winning the competition, while Police FC will receive Rwf20 million as runners-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
