class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rwandan musicians are earning income from a 15-day exhibition in Musanze, with organizers expecting performers to make more than 30 million Rwandan francs by the time the event ends Sept. 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Northern Province exhibition, which opened Aug. 19, features a different artist each day as part of a program designed to entertain visitors and draw more people to the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ally Muhirwa, one of the concert organizers, said the performances serve both as entertainment and an opportunity for artists to earn from their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMusanze residents enjoy music, particularly music by Rwandan artists,\u201d Muhirwa said. \u201cThe concerts are also a good way of attracting more people to the exhibition, and they have responded well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Artists who have performed so far include Zeo Trap, Papa Cyangwe, Bushali, Danny Nanone, Afrique, Mico The Best, Fireman, Khalfan, QD, Theo Bosebabireba and Niyo Bosco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Israel Mbonyi is scheduled to perform Aug. 30 in Musanze, with additional performers expected to be announced during the exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organizers expect about 15 artists to take part in the music program over the course of the exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond showcasing products and other activities, the event is creating paid performance opportunities for musicians while giving residents and visitors a chance to attend live shows during the exhibition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rwandan musicians are earning income from a
