Rwandan and Santa Catarina businesses also held talks on potential areas of partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A key outcome of the visit was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Rwanda Polytechnic and Fecom\u00e9rcio in Santa Catarina, aimed at strengthening workforce skills, particularly in hospitality and tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/thedawnrwanda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/cdnx.premiumread-81-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3098\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thedawnrwanda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/cdnx.premiumread-81-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/thedawnrwanda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/cdnx.premiumread-81-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/thedawnrwanda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/cdnx.premiumread-81-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/thedawnrwanda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/cdnx.premiumread-81.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The visit is part of broader efforts to deepen relations between Rwanda and Brazil. The two countries established diplomatic ties in 1981 and have expanded their diplomatic presence in recent years. Rwanda opened its embassy in Bras\u00edlia in 2024, while Brazil opened its embassy in Kigali in June 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In February, the two countries held the first Rwanda-Brazil Business Forum in Kigali, bringing together more than 60 business leaders.
