home with three medals after a strong showing at the Grand Prix International VTT Chantal Biya in Cameroon, with Martha Ntakirutimana winning gold in the women\u2019s senior category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ntakirutimana finished first in the women\u2019s senior race, while fellow Rwandan rider Charlotte Iragena took second place to claim the silver medal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Banzi Buhari completed Rwanda\u2019s medal haul with a third-place finish in the men\u2019s senior professional category, earning bronze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The three cyclists arrived in Kigali late Monday, Aug. 11, alongside their coach, Byukusenge Nathan, after competing in the mountain bike race in Cameroon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/thedawnrwanda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/whatsapp_image_2026-08-10_at_23.29_06-519ee-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2908\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thedawnrwanda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/whatsapp_image_2026-08-10_at_23.29_06-519ee-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/thedawnrwanda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/whatsapp_image_2026-08-10_at_23.29_06-519ee-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/thedawnrwanda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/whatsapp_image_2026-08-10_at_23.29_06-519ee.jpg 810w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The competition featured an 11.3-kilometer course in the Bagofit area and brought together 90 cyclists from 15 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Riders competed across several categories, including amateur and professional divisions for men and women, as well as junior events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The race was held for the third time since it was named after Chantal Biya, the first lady of Cameroon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rwanda\u2019s results
