Rwandan musician France Mpundu has advanced to the quarter finals of Secret Story Africa after surviving a tense elimination round.
She was among four contestants at risk but secured her place through overwhelming online support from Rwandan fans.
France will continue in the competition alongside Sarah from Côte d’Ivoire, while Ouaidou from Chad and Josée from Benin were eliminated.
The show, airing on Canal+ Magic, now has eight remaining contestants. The latest eviction episode was emotional, with both eliminated and remaining housemates visibly affected.
France, already a recognized figure in Rwanda’s music industry, is the first Rwandan to participate in the Secret Story Africa show, which awards the winner approximately 50 million Rwandan francs.
