
Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi was named 2025 African Footballer of the Year by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after a stellar season with Paris Saint-Germain.
The right-back helped PSG win Ligue 1, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Champions League, Coupe de France, and Trophée des Champions, while reaching the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Club World Cup final.
Hakimi scored 11 goals and provided eight assists across domestic and European competitions, contributed defensively, and earned spots in the UEFA Champions League, Ligue 1, and CAF Teams of the Season, finishing ahead of Mohamed Salah and Victor Osimhen.
