Mashariki African Film Festival (MAFF), running from November 22 to 29 at Century Cinema in Kigali, will screen a total of 99 films under this year’s theme; “Creative Horizons”.
One of Africa’s most influential film festivals, MAFF continues to showcase African stories to the world while connecting filmmakers, producers, and industry professionals.
The 11th edition features 60 international films and 39 local productions, known as “Iziwacu”.
The international selection includes 13 feature films, 26 short f ilms, 10 documentaries, 10 TV series, and one special screening, all celebrated for their originality and storytelling.
The Iziwacu lineup highlights 12 feature f ilms, 7 TV series, 18 web series, and 2 short films, reflecting the impressive growth and talent within Rwanda’s film industry.
